Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant was involved in a scuffle at Miami night club LIV over the weekend, and now reports are saying the altercation was with Lil Wayne and his entourage.
The fight started after Bryant was heckled about his disappointing play on the field and a disputed six-figure debt he owes to an investment firm. Miami police detained the second-year receiver but did not arrest him or press charges.
Here’s where Lil Wayne supposedly comes into the picture. The New York-based Endurance Capital Fund, the firm that alleges Bryant still owes it over $50,000, has ties to Lil Wayne’s record label, Young Money Entertainment.
Wayne and Young Money President Mack Maine and Cash Money Entertainment CEO Brian “Baby” Williams and their entourage were present and involved in the fracas with Bryant, the source said.
So apparently Weezy & Co. have legitimate beef with Bryant.
Bryant on Twitter responded Thursday to the reports:
Notice he mentions not having any issue with “this man,” presumably Lil Wayne. That still leaves the possibility of having a problem with people in Lil Wayne’s crew.
