Georgia’s All-American safety Bacarri Rambo could miss up to the Bulldogs’ first four games of the upcoming season after being suspended for a violation of team rules, according to DawgPost.com. While the university wouldn’t go into further details, Rambo’s high school coach Alan Ingram says the punishment pertains to an accidental drug-related incident during a recent spring break trip to Florida.
The Athens Banner-Herald explains:
Rambo tested positive after eating some brownies that he did not realize contained marijuana during a spring break trip with friends to Panama City, Fla., according to Ingram, who has talked to Rambo.
Ingram said this to ESPN:
“Bacarri went down to Panama City Beach with some friends,” Ingram said. “One of the nights he went to bed before they did. He got up the next morning, was hungry and found some brownies on the table. He had some with some milk and told me, ‘I got high.’ The other guys got up and told him that the brownies were not for him. Apparently they were laced with marijuana.
“I think that is the story. I think that is exactly what happened. Not many times would I say that, but he has never lied to me before.”
Rambo, a senior, is reportedly appealing the suspension and is also considering entering the NFL supplemental draft.
But, dude, come on. Brownies at spring break in Panama City!? What else would they be other than weed brownies? Either Rambo is a terrible liar and thinks we’re stupid or he is the most naive college student in the history of college students.
